Dear ECOCLUB Members & Readers

Our thoughts are with the victims of the tsunami disaster and in particular the staff and tourists of our Members Golden Buddha Beach in Thailand,
please support their relief efforts for their neigbouring villages at
http://www.goldenbuddhabeach.com. We also commend our Members in
Sri Lanka, Ranweli Holiday Village, Tree Tops Jungle Lodge and River Garden Resort, that were not affected by the disaster, for their assistance to their local communities.

The best that each of us can do in the memory of all victims,
in the years to come is to put pressure where we can, so that every person
in the affected areas, and beyond, from now on gets access to a decent job and a decent life, and so that a better type of tourism, that can provide such means to all, emerges from the ruins of the tsunami.

The latest issue of ECOCLUB has just been published, with a slight delay for
which I apologise.

Please access the on-line summary Edition

Members will receive ECOCLUB by post within the next 10 days.

We welcome your reaction on the tsunami and the on-going
relief effort for our next issue, for submission guidelines please see

The next monthly ECOCLUB Meeting, to be held
on Tuesday 25 January 2005 at 15:00 GMT, at
>> http://www.ecoclub.com/chat/

will be open to all so that Ecotourism proponents
around the world can meet and discuss practical ways
of supporting Ecotourism in the Indian Ocean at this
difficult time.

Eco regards for a better, different 2005
