Photos of Panama City, from the air, from the mountains, and from the street:

The page takes a while to load due to the number of large pics. Notice the number of construction cranes.

PostPosted: Thu Apr 02, 2009 1:51 pm    Post subject: Panamanian Association for Sustainable Tourism (APTSO) Reply with quote

Dear colleagues,

I would like to introduce today APTSO: a non-profit association directed by a group of pioneers in the fields of tourism, science and development that intends to spread sustainable practices in tourism across both the private and public sectors in order to improve the environmental and common development of Panama.

The mission of APTSO is to facilitate sustainable tourism in Panama. In the context of the development, this means: all the forms of the tourism development, handling and activities, which support environmental, social and economic integrity. We understand that to promote tourism, there is the no guarantee of the well-being of the cultural and natural resources in perpetuity. Thus, the mission of APTSO is to promote that the tourism in Panama focus more on sustainability, supporting important strategies for the conservation and the sustainable use of our cultural and natural resources.

We would like to contact organizations that would like to exchange experiences with us. Our membership at the moment is 50+ members and we are working on training at the moment.

For more information, please visit www.aptso.org

Saludos verdes,

Annie Young J.
President.-
