Help a birdwatcher!
Hello,
I have been planning a birdwatching trip in Brazil. After some
search on the internet, I found this company called Focus Tours.
They are quite responsive and have answered all my questions.
Now I need to send them a deposit to secure two spaces in June for me and
my friend. I am getting a cold feet since I only met this company
through the internet.
Has anyone here used this company before? If so, would you please
let me know if this company is legit? Will they take my deposit and
simply disappear?
Thank you in advance.
Annie

Focus
Focus Tours is not featured on Planeta.com. I have corresponded and met the founder and by all counts from what I have heard, the tours are reliable.
Update

We are also preparing for our 2005 online conference focusing on rural tourism. Those who have an interest in birding AND rural travel are invited to take part and share their experiences. Birders, afterall, are among the first to explore new areas. The event begins April 25th. Details

Planet Survey
The feedback I am seeking are the basic questions that should be included on a survey about birding. Planeta readers are not all avid birders, but they are interested in travel and the environment. Let me know what questions you would like to see asked in the survey.
Here is the current draft (emphasis on the word DRAFT).
Name
City, Country
How often do you go birding?
Do you seek destinations abroad for quality birding?
What qualities do you seek from birding guides?
Have you traveled to a birding festival?
