Hola Ron, here are the links to our major news online centers:

http://www.elcomercio.com/
http://www.cre.com.ec/noticias/noticiasnac.asp

I found this international sites:
http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2006 ... ests_x.htm
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4831840.stm

I hope this will be useful, I also ask you kindly to explain your readers that this happens very often as a way of the people to make the government hear their requests, and that for tourist or Ecuadorians it is NOT a dangerous thing. It could happen that their tours will be stopped for the protests and it takes longer to get where they go but is not that they are going to be killed, this situations are very bad for us as tourist are afraid and stop coming and cancel tours.
