Special Hollywood section in Latino Leaders magazine
Latino Leaders magazine has just published a special section (written by me) on Latinos in Hollywood.
Latinos in Hollywood - Soll Sussman/Latino Leaders
http://www.latinoleaders.com/articulos. ... jemplar=17
"The winds of change are blowing into Hollywood, and they are bringing about new opportunities for minorities. For the first time ever, Latinos are beginning to share a slice of the pie in the entertainment industry and getting the recognition they have long deserved, and behind it all there is a group of leaders working tirelessly to make it happen. Here are some of the most important men and women changing the landscape of tinseltown today."

Monterrey hip-hop scene, from the Austin American-Statesman
Jeremy Schwartz in the Austin American-Statesman, June 20, 2005
http://www.statesman.com/news/content/n ... iphop.html
Throughout Mexico, a homegrown rap scene has quietly emerged in the past decade, characterized by a hard-edged, underground spirit that stems in part from the fact that hardly anyone is making any real money from it.

Interview with Roberto Suro in Latino Leaders magazine
Roberto Suro left a top-notch career in journalism to study the changing trends of Hispanic demographics in the U.S. This new position has given him some valuable insight on the Latino social phenomenon in North America. An interview by Soll Sussman is in the August-September issue of Latino Leaders magazine.

Xochicalco: ornate temples and solar tricks - John Mitchell/Mexico Herald
http://www.mexiconews.com.mx/miami/16104.html
"The highway running south from Cuernavaca snakes past endless sugarcane fields, roadside stands piled high with freshly cut roses, and towns with tongue-twisting names that hark back to pre-Hispanic times. Before long, the ancient ruins of Xochicalco come into view, perched like a fortress high on a hill overlooking lush valleys and shimmering lakes."

Survey results on U.S. travel preferences
I found this latest survey information on U.S. travel preferences interesting, especially as it relates to sustainable tourism:
http://www.travelwirenews.com/cgi-scrip ... 8574-p.htm
Basically saying that everyone dreams of visiting exotic destinations, but settle on Florida instead. Survey conducted of 1,100 U.S. adults by Omnibus for MasterCard. Hitting the beach and other warm-weather activities were top choice of 29%, followed by child-friendly destinations (12%), and historical/cultural destinations (10%). Other findings:
